Home Modification Inc. was founded by Roy Carreiro in 2003. We are a family owned and operated general contractor business located in the Boston area, with a crew that is professional, licensed, experienced, and skillful in their trade. Our services include but are not limited to general home improvement, carpentry, remodeling, new construction, custom work & handyman services. We also proudly specialize in working with seniors and clients with physical limitations by creating custom projects to ensure maximum home safety following ADA specifications. We work with our clients every step of the way to create and execute projects that meet their needs and vision. We aim for our clients satisfaction by delivering work of a high quality.

Roy Carreiro, Founder and Owner of Home Modification Inc., is a third generation General Contractor. The family tradition has humble beginnings in Portugal, where Roy’s Grandfather owned and operated a successful contracting and painting business. He started learning the trade at a young age as a carpenter apprentice under his father's mentorship.
After graduating from Somerville High Trade School in 1995, Roy acquired a Massachusetts Builders and Home Improvement Contractor Licenses, and founded Carreiro Construction. While running the business as a Licensed General Contractor, Roy found
a special calling working with the aging and disabled population. He renamed his company Home Modification Inc. in 2003, to provide more inclusive work for this special and unique clientele as part of the company specialty services.
